How to Produce Hydraulic Hose with Fitting?

  1. Hose Selection and Cutting
  • The appropriate type of hose (eg: 1SN, 2SN, 4SP) is selected according to the intended use.
  • The hose is  cut in a hydraulic hose cutting machine to a size suitable for the hydraulic circuit  .
  • After cutting, the hose ends  are cleaned with the Seide RK91 Hose Cleaning Machine; the rubber parts and wire burrs inside are removed.
  1. Gland and Socket Selection
  • The type of fitting (e.g. BSP, ORFS, JIC, ORFS) suitable for the diameter and pressure class  of the hose  is determined.
  • In the same way, the correct type  of socket is selected.
    • Example:
      • 2-piece system → 2 wire hose (gland + socket)
      • 3-piece system → 4 wire hoses (gland + inner nipple + socket)
  1. Pre-Assembly Preparation
  • A socket is threaded at the end of the hose.
  • Then the fitting is inserted into the hose. During this process,  it  is ensured that the fitting fits snugly into the hose.
  1. Pressing (Compression) Process
  • The hose and fittings  are  placed inside the Seide S51 Hydraulic hose press machine.
  • The press machine  clamps up to the standard diameter narrowing (pressing size) according to the relevant union type and hose diameter.
  • This measurement is usually  adjusted with millimeter accuracy (e.g. 33.5 mm ±0.2 mm).
  1. Quality Control (Pressure Test)
  • After each hose installation (especially in high-pressure applications):

    • Pressure test (burst & proof)
    • Leak test
    • Visual inspection is performed.
  • Non-sealed hoses are marked and scrapped.
  1. Labeling and Packaging
  • A label containing information such as barcode, production date, diameter information, union type  is attached to the hose.
  • Upon request, a protective spiral, sheath or coupling coating can be made.
  • Hoses are packaged in rolls or flat wraps.

Certified and Safe Installation in Hydraulic Hose Manufacturing

  • Hoses with fittings must be  installed by a certified technician.
  • Compliance with EN 853 / ISO 8434 norms is important for both system safety and warranty.
