Stainless flex hoses are reliable fittings preferred for flexibility, vibration damping and high pressure/temperature resistance in industrial systems. Proper installation and periodic maintenance extend the life of the hose and increase operational safety.

  1. Possible Malfunctions
  • Outer Mesh Damage: Breakage, rust or abrasion of the stainless wire mesh.
  • Fitting/End Connection Problems: Press loosening, thread incontinence or loss of sealing.
  • Inner Tube Crack or Puncture: Fluid leakage, pressure loss.
  • Crushing and Deformation: Deformity due to impact or improper assembly.

  • Visual inspection of hoses  should be carried out at regular intervals.
  • If there is corrosion, rust or mesh wire breaks, the hose must be replaced.
  • Hoses acting as vibration absorbers should be checked regularly to ensure that they do not damage the fixed connections.
  • Excessive bending and sharp turns should be avoided.
  • The operating pressure and temperature  must not exceed the limits indicated on the manufacturer's label.

  • Fitting/End Connection Repair:
    • If there is a leak in the end connection, the hose can be disassembled and re-pressed.
    • This should only be done on certified hose presses.
  • Shortening the Damaged Area:
    • If only the end of the hose is damaged, the hose can be re-fitted by cutting off the relevant section.
  • Outer Sheath Repair:
    • If the mesh damage is limited to the exterior, a protective spiral or additional sheath can be applied.

Puncture in the inner tube, repair in high-pressure systems is strongly discouraged; The hose must be replaced.
